Each game, each memory, one at a time…

A spectrum of some of the games that have shaped my life. You can expect an entry for each of these.

I am a gamer.

Video games, board games, card games, games of psychological warfare—you name it, I have been interested and maybe played it to the point of obession. Have I played every good game that deserves to be played? Impossible. So what is the point of creating a blog, entitled, “A History of Games: Games That Shaped My Life”? It is simply my way of cataloguing the games that have made a permanent impression upon my character, pervaded my being and essence such that somehow they have become a part of who I am, how I think, and how I perceive the world to this day.

Each week, or month if things get too busy, I will write about a new game that has shaped who I am. I will not go research the game, trying to refresh my memory: I will only forge my blog entry from my memory as it stands now—otherwise it would not be a genuine delving into the lasting impact the game had on me. I will cover a wide range of games: console games, card games, board games, computer games, etc. The only criteria I will use to choose each new addition will be that the game drastically influenced me at some point in my life. I will recall in my posts simply why the game was so special to me.

Now, if you’ll kindly click on a memory…
